But often most of them used to get dry n I had to throw them away. Then Mummy send me home made pickles. Mango pickle was one of them. I am not very fond of mango pickles;and also the pickle was made of a batch of very sour mangoes. So Every time I call home, I used to complain about both of these. So, mummy gave me this recipe. I was sceptical before trying , but to my surprise the chutney was delicious. N now its an integral part of my menu, if I am making daal chawal. 🙂 🙂 U will Need: 2 bulb of garlic, 2-3 green chillies, 1 mango pickle, salt to taste and 1-2 tspn of mustard oil. Peel of the garlic cloves. Now roast garlic cloves over a heated tawa on low flame. Also roast green chillies a little. Wash the pickle properly. Remove the harder shell. Add all these to grinder. Grind it. Add salt and 1-2 tspn water. Grind it to a paste. Take out in a small bowl, add oil. Also add salt , if required. You may store the chutney for a week in refrigerator. Add oil n salt whenever u have to serve. Tip of the Day: Use water as little as possible while grinding. If green chillies are not available,Use dry red chillies. Roast it properly before using . 2s COMMENTS
