7 December, 2010 Awla/amla/Indian Gooseberry ki chutney Comments : 1 Posted in : Uncategorized on December 7, 2010 by : Sonali Tags: Chutney Now-a-days I am trying to pamper myself through food. Sometimes I succeed, sometimes not worth trying But I keep going on. Yesterday, I made awlaa chutney in dinner. Quite famous in biharis' kitchen, its a must in Bhoj*. N ot Only its delicious, itis good for health & easy to prepare, without much fuss. U will need: 3 large awla, 1 dry red chilli, 2 tspn coriander, salt & mustard oil. Boil awla. Remove seeds & keep aside. Heat a tawa/Pan. Roast coriander & chilli for few minutes or until the color changes. Make a paste of all these except oil. Add 1 tbspn water while grinding it. It will help to make the chutney more fine. Add oil & you r ready to serve. *Bhoj is kind of a party(not exactly) organised in village where people sit on floor & they r served food in pattal (a kind of plate made of leaves) by the host. 1 COMMENT
